RULE 01 — WAVE 2
Never Retraces Wave 1 Fully
Wave 2 can retrace up to 99% of Wave 1 — but never 100%. A violation invalidates the count entirely.
RULE 02 — WAVE 3
Never the Shortest Impulse
Among Waves 1, 3, and 5, Wave 3 is never the shortest. It's typically the most powerful and extended.
RULE 03 — WAVE 4
No Overlap with Wave 1 Territory
In a standard impulse, Wave 4 cannot enter the price territory of Wave 1. Exceptions occur only in diagonals.
